New Albany Housing Authority has an immediate opening for an Occupancy Specialist. 

Schedule:  Full time, non-exempt position, 40 hours a week, Monday Friday 8 am to 5 pm with a one hour lunch break, may require occasional overtime as needed

Job Summary:  Assists Property Manager by performing clerical and technical functions of public housing management. 

Essential Duties:  Conduct annual, interim and special reviews of tenants, household composition and income.  Contact or refer to manager delinquent tenants to resolve the payment of account, referring them to agencies when needed.   Interview tenants to obtain additional information such as family composition and income.  Various clerical duties such as data entry, filing, copying, word processing.  Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:   to perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of MS Office Spreadsheet software and MS Office Word processing software.  Knowledge of Tenmast Accounting software a plus.

Abilities:   Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating instructions and procedure manuals.  Ability to do math problems including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, proportions and percentages.  Ability to learn new computer software programs.

Education:  Associate's Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or two years of related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
